golf lessons for kids in plymouth

Imagine a private golf studio that's perfectly tailored for kids—whether they’re serious young athletes or just want to give golf a try. My facility is equipped to support junior golfers at every level, from those aspiring to play competitively to kids who simply want to swing a club and see if they enjoy it. I believe that golf lessons for children should be as fun and engaging as possible. My approach? I’m all about being approachable, a little silly, and yes, even a bit ridiculous at times! It’s essential for me to create an environment where kids feel comfortable, motivated, and above all, entertained.

With over a decade of experience as a golf coach, I’ve spent years running a large junior academy, working as the sole coach for a hug amount of young golfers. This experience has taught me invaluable skills in understanding and adapting to the unique needs of each child. I’m passionate about making golf a positive and memorable experience for kids, and I bring patience, compassion, and a touch of humor to every session.

My philosophy in teaching junior golf is that a lesson should rarely feel like "learning" in the traditional sense. Kids are much more likely to embrace change when it’s introduced through play and exploration rather than repetitive drills. Instead of drilling movements with dull repetition, I design my coaching for kids to be game-based and goal-focused, so they can naturally develop their skills while having fun.

To achieve this, I use engaging activities that encourage the necessary movement changes through task-oriented challenges, keeping kids focused on achieving specific goals rather than getting bogged down by technical explanations. For example, let’s say I want to help a young golfer reduce dynamic loft—a complex concept, even for seasoned players. Rather than explaining dynamic loft, I might challenge them to hit targets on the lower half of the screen. As they work toward this goal, they’ll make the adjustments needed to achieve the correct form, all while building problem-solving skills and learning through guided discovery.

In my experience, this approach keeps kids engaged, helps them internalize essential techniques naturally, and most importantly, fosters a love for the game.

The best golf lessons for junior golfers look nothing like golf lessons as we know them! If you’re interested in a golf lesson for your child that’s equal parts fun and instructional, where they’ll be welcomed with open arms and laughter, book a session! I can’t wait to help them discover a love for the game in a space that feels like it’s just for them.
